The third graders are very excited to receive and begin their new school year in music class learning how to play the recorder. They have had their first official lesson, are learning basic fingering and have begun to play simple melodies and songs.

Music As A Universal Language
The fifth grade studied why Music is considered a universal language. They each researched a foreign country and a popular music tradition in their respective locations and cultures. They will share their findings with the class. They also created a collage in the shape of a musical note with flags from various countries around the world.
