Hispanic Heritage Month
Grade 7 has been researching Hispanic Musicians and Performers
in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
They completed poster boards with biographical information,
the flag and map of the country, the artist
represented and then shared their findings
with the class via oral presentations.
Pictured below are some of the artists they learned about.
First Holy Communion
This week Braelynn, Declan and Gabe received the
Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time.
Their parents, with the support of the 3rd grade attended
a beautiful Liturgy led by Father Rich Jasper.
Stevie and Joslyn led the singing, adding a dynamic dimension
to the Mass with their angelic voices.
Composers, Composers, Composers!
1st grade students have begun their study of classical composers.
This week they were introduced to the French composer, Camille Saint-Seans.
They viewed and listened to the piece entitled "Carnival of the Animals".
Here the students share artistic coloring samples of the movements and animals
represented in this animated classical work of art.
