Week of December 16th

Our final week of school and classes for 2019 has arrived,

culminating in the Music Program with the Christmas Gala. 

This included a beautiful Nativity Pageant featuring our

Kindergarten students as Mary, Joseph, Angels, Shepherds, Wise Men,

and the Three Kings, as well as the 4th grade as Narrators.

The Nativity was followed by the 30-minute musical entitled

"December 'Round the World" 

An International Holiday Celebration

by John Jacobson and Roger Emerson.

Week of December 9th

This Week in Music

This Week for the Music Program at Holy Child has been one of excitement,
 joy and lots of merry music-making.

The week began with a beautiful Family Christmas Liturgy led by our 8th graders and their families as cantors, lectors, extaordinary ministers, gift-bearers.
It included several music groups as the choir sang,
the band played carols and the strings
treated us to a beautiful rendition of Silent Night.

On Monday, we enjoyed performing for the HCA families at the Christmas Concert which included performances by all the above mentioned groups as well as Hand Bells and Rock Band.

Wednesday included an 8th Grade Hand Bell trip to Center Square Philadelphia
amidst the hustle and bustle of the city in the newly-renovated office building where
guests were treated to one of the true sounds of Christmas: Bells!

Thursday highlighted our Junior and Senior Choirs at the Media Courthouse for a noon-time musical performance followed by a fun lunch at Pinnochio's restaurant and a trolley ride back from Media.

December Round the World

Preparations are rapidly underway for the upcoming Christmas Gala. This production involves students from Nursery 2 through 4th grade. The students have been working tremendously hard to prepare a beautiful Nativity presentation followed by the musical December Round the World.

Performance Dates include Wednesday, December 18th at 6 p.m. and 

Thursday, December 19th at 9:00 for Grandparents. 

Students will dazzle you with their ability to sing in 5 different languages. 

Come see colorful sets, hear upbeat music, observe creative choreography

 and get yourself into the holiday spirit.

You'll go home singing the songs along with your children! 

Come learn about Mexican Posadas, Chinese New Year, the 7 principles of Kwanzaa, The German tradition of the Pickle in the Tannenbaum, Channukah, and Christmas in America. 

Rehearsals are in full gear on stage.

This is a production not to be missed! Please plan to attend.
